Version 5.6 is bringing us back to Mondstadt with a refreshing new update—and with it comes a strong lineup of characters, including the highly anticipated Escoffier, alongside reruns for Navia, Kinich, and Raiden Shogun. In this guide, we’ll break down each character’s strengths, ideal teams, and how they stack up in terms of pull priority.

🧊 Escoffier – The Cryo Support Powerhouse

Escoffier is a five-star Cryo polearm user who brings an incredibly well-rounded kit:

  • Up to 55% Cryo and Hydro resistance shred, the highest in the game to date
  • Teamwide healing via her burst, along with targeted healing for the active character
  • Solid off-field damage through her skill and burst
  • Very flexible, can slot into teams as both support and sub-DPS

Best Use:

Escoffier shines brightest in Freeze teams, where her Cryo application and resistance shred are fully utilized. She also enables Cryo carries like Ayaka and potentially Skirk (coming soon) to thrive.

However, she isn’t restricted to Freeze—her healing and off-field damage also make her viable in other team types, albeit with lower resistance shred (10–15%).

Pull Priority: ★★★★★
If you play Cryo or Hydro-focused comps, she’s an incredible support option.

🌱 Kinich – The Dendro Nuker Returns

Kinich returns for his first rerun. As a Dendro claymore DPS, he offers:

  • Explosive single-target damage, especially in Burning teams
  • Best synergy with Emilie, who unfortunately is not rerunning this patch
  • Works well with Mavuika or Furina for alternative builds

Ideal Team:

Burning teams featuring Kinich, Emilie, Bennett, and a pyro applier like Mavuika are his best setup. While Kinich is powerful, he is highly reliant on his signature weapon and very specific teammates to shine.

Pull Priority: ★★★★☆
Powerful but team-dependent. Only pull if you can build his best setup.

🧱 Navia – The Geo Queen

Navia is back with another rerun, bringing her stylish and explosive Geo DPS gameplay:

  • Strong synergy with Shinon (for resonance and energy)
  • Excellent free-to-play friendliness, especially with 4-star teams
  • Flexible team building with Bennett, Furina, or Mavuika

While not the absolute strongest DPS in the game, Navia offers high damage and a smooth playstyle. Her C2 gives a big boost, increasing her crit rate by 36% and letting her skill one-shot support targets.

Pull Priority: ★★★★☆
Great if you enjoy Geo characters or missed her earlier runs.

⚡ Raiden Shogun – The Veteran Electro Archon

At this point, most players likely have Raiden Shogun, given her many reruns. That said, she’s still a great Electro hypercarry with:

  • Massive Energy Recharge utility
  • Synergy with Hyperbloom and Overload teams
  • Good pairing with Bennett, Shinobu, or Xiangling

However, her kit hasn’t aged as well as others. Her role in the meta is a bit more comfort-based now rather than essential.

Pull Priority: ★★☆☆☆
Still a solid unit, but less meta-relevant than the others this patch.

🔁 Skirk – Coming Soon

While Skirk isn’t featured in 5.6, we already know she is a Cryo DPS who will likely excel in Freeze setups. Escoffier is expected to be one of her best supports, making this a great patch to invest in building her future team.

🎯 Pull Recommendations

Here’s how we’d rank the characters based on priority and value for most accounts:

CharacterRolePull Priority
EscoffierCryo Support★★★★★
KinichDendro DPS★★★★☆
NaviaGeo DPS★★★★☆
Raiden ShogunElectro Sub-DPS★★☆☆☆

If you’re a Freeze team lover, pulling Escoffier is a no-brainer—especially with Skirk on the horizon.

💬 Final Thoughts

Escoffier is shaping up to be one of the most valuable support units in recent memory, with synergy across Cryo and Hydro comps and rare versatility in healing and off-field damage. Navia and Kinich still offer strong niche value, especially if you’re building around Geo or Burning archetypes.

If you’re unsure, wait until Escoffier’s release and check performance reviews—though all signs point to her being an S-tier support out the gate.
