Genshin Impact players know the pain of losing 50/50s, missing favorite characters, and watching hard-earned wishes vanish into the ether. But what happens when you save up three years worth of standard banner pulls—specifically for Yumemizuki Mizuki, only for RNG to deny you every step of the way?

In a massive summoning session, IWinToLose Gaming spent over 1,500 pulls across the featured, standard, and weapon banners, hoping to secure Constellations for Mizuki after she was finally added to the standard banner. Did years of saving pay off? Spoiler alert: the results were painful—and hilariously relatable.

Who Is Yumemizuki Mizuki?

Before diving into the chaos, let’s talk about the star of the show. Yumemizuki Mizuki, nicknamed Mizuki, is a five-star Anemo character introduced during Fontaine’s storyline. With a fluid, dance-like fighting style and beautiful animations, she quickly became a fan favorite.

Recently, Mizuki was officially added to the standard banner pool, making her obtainable through Acquaint Fates—though the odds of actually pulling her remain painfully low. And that’s exactly what this video illustrates.

The Setup: 429 Acquaint Fates and a Dream

IWinToLose Gaming has been saving for this moment for years. With 429 Acquaint Fates, the dream was to get at least one copy of Mizuki. The plan was simple: fire off hundreds of standard wishes and hope the stars (and server RNG) align. Surely, with that many pulls, at least one Mizuki would come home, right?

…Right?

Pain, Puns, and Pulls: The Full Summon Session

Over the course of the video, IWinToLose goes through:

590 featured banner pulls, mainly chasing Verisa and Yansan constellations
430 standard banner pulls—all for Mizuki
530 weapon banner pulls, aiming for Vivid Notions

Despite several early five-star wins and a fair share of off-banner characters (hello Jean, again and again), Mizuki never appeared. Not even once.

Even when expectations were lowered, and the wish count grew larger, the elusive Mizuki refused to show. The session featured emotional highs, comedic breakdowns, and moments of copium-fueled commentary, but in the end, not a single Constellation of Mizuki was earned—let alone the first copy.

RNG Is Brutal, Even for Whales

One of the most compelling parts of this summoning session is how genuinely unpredictable it was. Even for a high-spending player with thousands of wishes saved up, there was no guarantee of pulling a specific standard character—especially one just added to the pool.

This echoes the frustration many players feel about Genshin’s standard banner: it’s long overdue for an overhaul. With more characters like Tighnari, Dehya, Mona, Diluc, and now Mizuki being added, the chances of pulling your desired five-star are smaller than ever.

Here’s the hard truth: saving for Mizuki on standard is a massive gamble. The standard banner lacks pity targeting, and you’re competing with over a dozen five-star characters. Even if you win the 50/50, you’re rolling against a large pool—making it incredibly difficult to get the one character you want.

Unless HoYoverse introduces a feature like a selectable standard five-star, or a pity path, your odds remain slim. For dedicated Mizuki fans, it might be better to wait for a rerun on a limited banner, assuming one ever comes.
