With the release of Version 5.6, Escoffier is making a big splash in Genshin Impact as a support/sub-DPS Cryo character. Her kit focuses on healing, resistance shred, and dealing respectable off-field damage. Naturally, this brings up the important question: which polearm should you use on Escoffier?

Kamilo breaks it all down in an excellent tier list video, explaining Escoffier’s weapon requirements and ranking every polearm based on how well it suits her needs. Here’s everything you need to know.

🛠️ What Escoffier Needs in a Weapon

Escoffier’s kit has three main needs when it comes to weapon stats:

  • Attack: Boosts both her healing (from her Burst) and her personal damage output.
  • Energy Recharge: Necessary to maintain consistent uptime on her 60-cost Burst.
  • Crit Rate/Crit Damage: Helpful for improving her personal damage, but not essential.

Weapons that offer high base attack, attack % bonuses, or energy recharge are therefore ideal. Crit stats are a bonus, not a necessity.

🏆 Escoffier’s Weapon Tier List

S-Tier (Top Choices)

  • Symphonist of Senses (Signature Weapon):
    • Provides massive Crit Damage, bonus attack while off-field, extra attack after healing, and buffs the whole team.
    • Best weapon overall, but arguably overkill unless you really want her optimal stats.
  • Staff of Homa:
    • Crit Damage stat and bonus attack scaling from HP.
    • Amazing general stat stick, strong for both damage and healing scaling.
  • Calamity Queller:
    • Highest base attack in the game, passive grants more attack and elemental bonus damage.
    • Great synergy for maximizing both healing and damage.
  • Engulfing Lightning:
    • Energy Recharge + bonus attack based on ER.
    • Extremely good for maintaining Burst uptime while still scaling her attack.

A-Tier (Very Good Options)

  • Skyward Spine:
    • High base attack, energy recharge, and a bit of crit rate.
    • Solid supportive choice.
  • Favonius Lance:
    • Energy recharge focus, plus generates team energy with critical hits.
    • Great for support builds, especially when ER is needed.
  • Deathmatch:
    • Crit rate main stat and decent passive attack boost.
    • Low base attack, but still very usable for boosting both healing and personal damage.
  • Prospector’s Drill:
    • Attack main stat, bonus elemental damage after healing.
    • A strong 4-star option if you participated in previous banners.
  • Tamayutai Noishi:
    • Recharge and massive attack boost after healing (up to 40%).
    • Great synergy with Escoffier’s healing kit.
  • Primordial Jade Winged-Spear:
    • High crit rate and decent attack boost stacking.
    • Good general stat stick.
  • Lithic Spear:
    • High attack if you have Liyue characters (but team comp restrictions apply).

B-Tier (Usable but Less Optimal)

  • The Catch:
    • Energy recharge and elemental burst bonus.
    • Good free-to-play option but not the highest in raw stats.
  • Wavebreaker’s Fin:
    • High base attack and bonus burst damage based on team energy cost.
    • Decent but less reliable without proper team setups.
  • Missive Windspear:
    • Basic attack stat stick with some extra Elemental Mastery (not really needed).
  • Mountain Bracing Bolt:
    • Energy recharge and skill damage bonus.
    • Functional but not top-tier.
  • Blackcliff Pole:
    • Crit damage focused but reliant on defeating enemies to trigger its passive.

C-Tier (Not Recommended)

  • Prototype Starglitter:
    • ER weapon, but its passive only boosts Normal and Charged Attacks.
  • Royal Spear:
    • Just an attack stat stick without notable synergy.
  • Ballad of the Fjords:
    • Niche and not ideal for her needs.
  • Dialogues of the Desert Sages:
    • HP scaling weapon — not what Escoffier wants.

D-Tier (Bad Choices)

  • Dragon’s Bane:
    • Elemental Mastery focus; not helpful for her.
  • Crescent Pike / Dragonspine Spear:
    • Physical damage weapons — totally irrelevant for Escoffier.
  • Moonpiercer / Waster Greatspear:
    • Elemental Mastery focus and generally weak base stats.

⚡ Final Verdict: Which Weapon Should You Use?

  • Free-to-Play/Low Spend:
Go for Favonius Lance, The Catch, or Prospector’s Drill if you have it.
  • Whale or Big Spender:
The Symphonist of Senses or Calamity Queller will maximize both healing and sub-DPS performance.
  • Balanced Choice:
Engulfing Lightning and Skyward Spine strike a perfect balance between healing consistency and personal DPS boost.

Even though her signature weapon is the clear best, you don’t need it to make Escoffier amazing in a team — a strong supportive polearm like Favonius Lance or Engulfing Lightning will already do wonders!
